The purpose of this society shall be to bring together those people interested in history, and especially the history of Lansing. The society’s major function will be to discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the area and provide for the preservation and dissemination of historical information. The society shall cooperate with the Illinois State Historical Society and is in full compliance with the Articles of Incorporation under the General Not for Profit Corporation Act of the State of Illinois and the United States Internal Revenue Code in regard to the Operational Limitations and Dissolution Clause of the Lansing Historical Society, per the By-laws and Articles of Amendment.
